A day in the life of . . . . .

published on 14/08/2018

Every day can and always is different in the world of an estate agent – none more so the other day!

Having arranged for one of our sister companies, Charles Ross Auctioneers, Woburn, to undertake a property clearance for one of our clients at a property, little did they, the owners, or ourselves know that they would find what was later discovered to be an unexploded WW2 bomb in the garage.

The clearance chaps contacted ourselves for another opinion and after a swift inspection we duly contacted the emergency services who were on the scene within a couple of minutes. Northants Police and Fire and Rescue teams secured the area while the Bomb Disposal Unit were duly dispatched and took the item away safely for further inspection/detonation.

There were a lot of sweaty foreheads amongst us, although it was certainly an interesting day – one for the grandchildren and future generations! Tags: Mike Neville Estate Agents, Charles Ross Auctioneers, Rushden, Beard Group
